For the last few months, I’ve been working from La Fauna Café in Cuernavaca—laptop open, notebook beside me, coffee cooling slowly while the room hums with ordinary life.

And the deeper I went into AI image generation, the clearer one thing became:

• Most creators do not need more random prompts.
• They need a way to direct AI without losing themselves.

The phrase “AI slop” gets used a lot right now, and for good reason. People are tired of content that looks polished but empty—images with no emotional center, no authorship, no memory, no soul.

But the answer is not to reject AI. The answer is to lead it.

To avoid ai slop, you need a human-led creative process: one that begins with your intention, your visual language, your emotional tone, and your boundaries before the tool ever generates an image. That is the shift.

AI should not decide what your project feels like. You should.

Aurelda has become my proof-of-work case study.

At La Fauna Café, in Cuernavaca, Mexico, I have been testing how AI can support a deeply human creative process—one rooted in story, resonance, memory, and visual coherence. The café became a kind of working studio: notebooks, screen tests, image prompts, revisions, mistakes, breakthroughs.

What emerged was a workflow I now call Human-Led AI Creative Direction.

It is simple in principle:

• Then you teach the tool how to serve it.
